Alienware has released a new QD-OLED gaming monitor that is slimmer, cheaper and more compatible

Dell’s second Alienware gaming monitor is based on QD-OLED display technology and features AMD FreeSync rather than G-Sync, a slightly lower refresh rate, and a $200 lower price.

The new monitor will be known as the AW3423DWF and will be sold alongside the existing AW3423DW. It will be available this fall. The ‘F’ indicates that this is an AMD FreeSync version, which is distinguished by its thinner black design (as opposed to white).

Even if you’re a well-heeled enthusiast, Alienware’s existing QD-OLED monitor is a spectacular display, but its size and $1,300 price tag can make it difficult to justify. Dell is addressing both of these issues with the AW3423DWF, a redesigned Alienware 34 Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor. The new version is thinner, making it easier to mount on a wall, but it also costs $1,100. It’s not cheap, but you can put some of the savings towards an RTX 4080 or other PC components.

The technical capabilities are largely similar, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This latest Alienware monitor still has an ultra-wide 3,440 x 1,440 resolution, QD-OLED color quality, high contrast, and fast pixel response times (0.1ms gray-to-gray). The AW3423DWF has a native 165Hz refresh rate with FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA AdaptiveSync Display support, but it also has 120Hz variable refresh rate compatibility to work with your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, as well as a new on-screen settings joystick to quickly access mode presets, as well as a new Creator mode for gamers who need to edit photos and videos.

The Alienware 34 QD-OLED Gaming Monitor will be available this fall. If anything, its primary competitor may be its panel manufacturer. Before the end of 2022, Samsung will release the Odyssey OLED G8 with a more subtle design and a slightly improved 175Hz refresh rate. While pricing isn’t yet available, if you’re looking for a stretched gaming display in the near future, you may be faced with a difficult decision.

Currently, it is only available on the Dell’s wesite, check out the price from the below link:
